the bite

February 13, 2009

of all the comfort that was spread
it’ll still turn around, hit you in the head
do of good to those around those who are true
while never those who are too close to you
they will cry for help when they in need
never offer when none ask of your treat

for all the fairy tales that blossom around
the spectators gets the pain and all the down
object of laughter, shows of jester
in time to leave, never in truth to believe

do you remember?

February 12, 2009

days of running aimlessly at the sandy corner of the school field
still wanting to play, yet fear the shoes would turn all grey
at times, pockets filled with marbles,
jingling as we ran from the canteen
as quick as we can eat,
gobbling up whatever we bought or brought
some ran to the green green grass,  some to the yellow sand
at the green, they would play police and thief or one leg
at the sand, would either be skipping box or bak ku li

do you remember how it was like, when things were simpler?
where fashion was either lai lai, gama or pasar malam?
food were best when it’s either mcD,
or coffee shop western food
the toys were just those you see on TV
that comes with chocolates

those have gone,
replaced clothings that could feed a family for a week
toys that never really meant to be opened or played by kids
so spoilt by choices in finding meals,
that coffee shops ain’t an option
do we really need what are shown and told by others?
or we just want to fit in?… i wanna fit in.
but my waist is blocking my entrance…

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

February 9, 2009

simply brilliant. touching. unique cinematography (obviously, it’s David Fincher). like how the producer and the people behind the movie response to the movie, it make us see the importance of living, wether it’s aging older or younger. i thank you the people who worked on this movie and hope it touches the heart of those watching as well.

but sad to say, i did not entirely support the film because… i watched a downloaded version of the movie. haha. it’s ok, if there’s any chick out there wanting to watch this film, i won’t mind going to the cinema for a dosage of heart touching and tear-rolling.

the movie brings us thru many levels of emotion. from pity of benjamin with the disease, joy of him seeing the good sides of everything, the love affair that started opposite age, the selfishness of him to abandon his family, and the lost of a loved one in daisy’s arms when benjamin gives her the last look.

david fincher had to put abit of his creativity into the film, with one part of the movie regarding the accident that daisy (the love of benjamin button) encountered during her peak moments in her career.

i am downloading the soundtrack now, hoping to listen to the piano tune again.
